Jordan al-Fayez talks on a nearby ministerial reshuffle

Originally published

Jordan's prime minister Faisal al-Fayez announced he will make in October a ministerial reshuffle in his government which he had formed one year earlier.

In a statement to al-Arabia TV on Sunday evening issued by the Jordanian papers yesterday, al-Fayez said replying a question on the date of this reshuffle "it might be in October," adding that "ministers will leave the cabinet and new ones will leave it to shoulder the responsibility. Some can fit in other positions, rather than the post it currently occupies."

On the other hand, al-Fayez said that the next government will work for the formulation of a new election law, noting that the new law should take into account the Jordanian social fabric and there should be a balance in this matter. al-Fayez had formed his government in October 25, 2003. It is the third under the rule of King Abdullah II who assumed power in Jordan in February 1999.
