La Vie Eco: Minister calls for thorough prospecting of Chinese market
Morocco's Foreign Trade minister, Mustapha Mechahouri, said there are sectors in the Chinese market that can be interesting to Moroccan exporters, noting that "a thorough prospecting" is needed to multiply contacts with Chinese businesses and make Moroccan products known.
In an interview published Friday by the weekly magazine "La Vie Eco," the minister recalled the rise of Moroccan exports to China by 117% in 2003. "But 80% of these exports, he said, are made of phosphates products."
