Al-Qathafi calls on Italy to speed up compensating the Libyan people
Libya's Leader of the Revolution, Muammar Al-Qathafi "renewed his call to Italy to speed up the procedure to compensate the Libyan people. We still claim for compensation which is an historic Libyan claim and right, he stressed," JANA reported yesterday.
It added "In his address to the Libyan peoples' activists in Serte Tuesday he said, Libya did not go to, attack, or forge an alliance against Italy. There were no animosity between the Libyan and Italian peoples, yet suddenly we were overwhelmed by its warships, destroying our cities and villages, setting our farms and date trees on fire, killing us, executing us, and sending us into exile then they seized our land, until their departure after the revolution, and these are our properties restored to us, he added."
It added "If Italy wanted to become clean and clear injustice felt by the Libyans, it must recognize compensation as it did with occupation, and compensate the Libyan people who still losses until the present day because of land mines planted by Italy and Germany, he said."
