Al-Refaee underlines trade relations with Turkey

Syria's Minister of Economy and Trade, Ghassan al-Refaee, underlined that his discussions during his visit to Turkey concentrated on bolstering economic cooperation and the bilateral relations between the two countries in all domains to reach solid relations able to establish real partnership between the two sides.

In a statement to SANA, Refaee pointed out that he discussed with Kurshad Tuzmen, Turkish Minister of Foreign Trade Affairs, issues of commercial and economic cooperation that were raised on the level of the two countries' leaderships during President Bashar al-Assad's historical visit to Turkey early this year.

He also added that they discussed the issue of establishing a free trade zone, agriculture border joint zones and commercial border centers.

" We discussed the pending points regarding the agreement of partnership to establish a free trade zone between the two countries and we reached a joint understanding regarding the draft agreement," he said, asserting importance of signing the agreement.
