Gas prices rise in Morocco as of Wednesday

The Moroccan energy and mines ministry said gas prices will rise as of wednesday by 2.9 to 3.5 percent, while industrial fuel and butane gas prices will remain unchanged.

A press release of the ministry says oil price hikes at international markets reaching around 43 dollars per barrel have prompted a revision of gas prices at the local market, recalling that gas prices, calculated on a 25 dollar per barel base, were not adjusted since 2000.
