The youth of Hawaii have offered to the Moroccan capital a stele of peace that was inaugurated Friday in "Nouzhat Hassan," at the center of Rabat, part of the 4th national festival of Moroccan youth Forum, held this August 18-24 in Bouznika (near Casablanca).

"May Peace prevail on Earth" is written in four languages in the stele that is a message of brotherhood and solidarity between peoples, national coordinator of Moroccan Youth Forum of the Third Millennium, Driss Guerraoui, told MAP.

Rabat is the first Arab and African city to host this stele that is erected in 188 sites throughout the world, he noted.

On her part, president of the Hawaii youth forum, May Anderson, said this stele is a symbol of cooperation and friendship relations between Hawaii and the Moroccan government.

Hawaii hosted the first edition of the World Youth Congress in 2001, while the second edition was held in Morocco last August.

The upcoming edition will take place in Glasgow (Scotland) in August 2005.
