Call for releasing Lebanese detainees in the Israeli jails

The Israeli -imprisoned Lebanese Detainees Support Follow Up Committee has called the international community to "stop being silent against the ugliest torture practices at the Israeli detention camps."

In a statement issued on Friday, the committee indicated that the detainees are being subjected to systematic brutal torture and that the occupation authorities are attempting to hinder an open hunger strike staged by the Arab detainees through the isolation of the captives and stopping family visits.

The statement underlined that the Freedom Tent will be re-erected in front of the UN headquarters in central Beirut in support of the detainees.
