Muslim Brothers group seeks dialogue with opposition parties
Reaction of the opposition parties in Egypt were varied towards the attempts made by the Muslim Brothers to convene meetings with these parties in order to crystallize a common position towards internal and external issues.
Some welcomed the dialogue with the Muslim Brothers on the ground they are important political force, while others view these movements with suspicion.
Observers consider that the move of the Muslim Brothers comes to break the political siege imposed on them by the Egyptian government or to make alliances before the general people's assembly elections in 2005.
Meantime, an official in the Egyptian al-Wafd party denied in a press statement to have any intention to associate with the Muslim Brothers.
