Arab League condemns Israeli settlements policy
Secretary General of the Arab League Amr Moussa Tuesday sent urgent letters to the U.S. Secretary of State, Russian Foreign Minister, UN Secretary General and EU High Representative for the Common Foreign and Security Policy in which he urged them to seriously "prevent Israel from implementing its illegal plots that aim at killing any opportunity for peace in the region," Speaker for the AL said Tuesday.
In a statement, Husam Zaki underlined that AL condemned Israel's insistence on expanding its settlements in the occupied Palestinian lands and building the racial wall of separation in the West Bank in a flagrant violation of the international law and resolutions.
He added that Israel's expansion of its settlements poses disregard of The Hague verdict that confirmed the illegality of building the wall in the West Bank.
