A new round of inter- Palestinian negotiations in Cairo

A new round of dialogue between various Palestinian groups are expected to start today in Cairo in the presence of many of its leaders.

News reports said that to take part in this meeting, the chairman of the political bureau of the Hamas movement Khaled Mashaal and chairman of the Palestinian legislative council Rouhi Fattouh arived in Cairo yesterday.

This round of negotiations which is sponsored by Egypt, in the course of the efforts made by Cairo to bring together view points between the Palestinian groups on the one hand, and the Fatah movement on the other and helping the Palestinian authority to eliminate its current crisis to get out of its current status by a united Palestinian position.

The meeting also aims at restoring back calm to Gaza so as the Egyptian initiative to train Palestinian police cadres in preparation to revive the roadmap peace plan. This was not possible because of the repeated Israeli invasions of Gaza and the violation of armed Palestinian elements of control of the Palestinian authority security measures.
