Comprehensive plan for developing water resources in Sinai

Egypt's Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mahmoud Abu Zeid said his ministry is now carrying out an all-out plan to develop the underground water resources in Sinai and to expand the project of irrigation and sanitation with total investments amounting to L.E. 54 million.

He added that the project implemented by the ministry includes the establishment of key dams for obtaining the heavy rain water as well as setting up water reservoirs in the area and digging the necessary wells.
