Al-Assad confers with Chinese peoples's council representatives

President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday met with Speaker of the Chinese People's Council of Representatives, Wu Bangguo, at the Great People's Hall in Beijing.

Talks during the meeting dealt with bilateral relations and regional and international political issues. During the meeting, the president stressed the necessity for boosting Parliamentarian relations between the two countries, and for conducting more dialogue on current political issues.
