Demand for the resignation of Qurei' because of the Egyptian cement
Member of parliament in the Palestinian legislative council Hassan Khreisheh -- who was chosen as chairman of the committee in charge of investigating the issue of the Egyptian cement -- called for the resignation of the Palestinian prime minister Ahmad Qurei' and members of the Cabinet, over the importation of the Egyptian cement which was used to building the wall of separation.
In a statement Khreisheh indicated that the " position of the Palestinian leadership concerning the case is still not clear and it did not move, while Qurei' tried to stop companies involved in this matter but could not and therefore he and his cabinet should resign in response to the will of people." On the other hand, the Islamic resistance movement ( Hamas) called for bringing corrupted persons to the judiciary because of their contributions to building the separation wall.
In a statement circulated in the Palestinian street, Hamas said that the smuggling of the Egyptian cement to Israel and the coupled scandals, all provoke the Palestinians against those who undermine their capabilities.
The Egyptian legislative council discussed this file in a stormy session last Wednesday. Members of the legislative council held the national economy minister full responsibility for the issue of the Egyptian cement.
