Originally published

ISESCO, a Rabat-based affiliate of the Organization of the Islamic conference, has strongly condemned the coalition-led military campaign waged against the Iraqi Populations.

The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization deplored the scores of people who died and considerable material damages incurred by urban centers and public institutions, mainly mosques, schools and hospitals in several Iraqi cities.

The organization's release, published one year after the former Iraqi president was officially toppled, also called on the international community, embodied in the United Nations, UNESCO, UNICEF, WHO and other international organizations to act swiftly for an end to the unfair war and restore peace and security in the Arab state.

It also urged for the immediate cessation of military aggressions to enable the Iraqi people enjoy its full sovereignty through a national elected government.

The UN was also called to end the foreign occupation of Iraq by intervening to maintain order and security, pending the return of stability in the country. (MAP)SH
