Cabinet first session to discuss abolition of journalists imprisonment draft law

Egyptian draft law on the cancellation of sending journalists to prison over publication cases is to be referred to the Cabinet first session in preparation for referring it to President Hosni Mubarak who, in turn will refer it to the People's Assembly and Shura Council for debate, said Justice Ministry's source.

The ministry is currently considering the texts of the bill through its ad hoc committees in this regard, added the source.
