Ebeid witnesses Egypt-IBM cooperation protocol

Egypt's Prime Minister Atef Ebeid, witnessed the signing of a memo of understanding between Egypt and IBM on investment increase in Egypt.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Communications and Information Technology (IT), Ahmad Nazif.

Nazif said that the agreement provided for the company's use of its revenues from software sales to the government in upping its investments in Egypt.

This will include offering training and employing around 10 programmers to work in export-oriented projects.

The memo also tackled services to implement the E-government project in Egypt free of charge.
