TV program provokes a problem in Bahrain

Seven Bahraini parliamentarians submitted an inquiry for the minister of information, Nabil Yaqoub al- Homer, because of the Program known as "big brother " produced by the( the Middle East TV ) the MBC and broadcasted as from last Friday.

Parliament member Muhammad Khaled stressed that the intention behind the inquiry were because the minister promised to form a legislative auditing committee on the program but did not fulfill his promise. The four parliamentarians belong to the Islamic national forum and independent Islamists and al-Asalah bloc.

Some 12 participants from the two sexes are taking part in the program, living in two separate houses to measure the scale of their cohabitation, according to laws which, if violated expose them to leave the house. The viewers vote for the worst participant to leave.
