American Bishop deplores the Israeli wall of separation

Originally published

Secretary General of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in U.S.A Bishop Clifton Kirkpatrick criticized on Tuesday the US threats directed against Syria and Lebanon.

In a statement given to the Lebanese National Information Agency, he condemned the apartheid separation wall Israel is building in the Palestinian territories, describing it as an ugly symbol of the Israeli aggression and violation of the human rights.

He added that the wall isolates the Palestinian villages and cities and increases the Israeli violence against the Palestinians.

He called for the implementation of the international resolutions, on top of which UN resolutions No. 242, and 338, calling Israel to withdraw from all the occupied Arab lands and the establishment of the Palestinian independent state with Jerusalem as its capital.

He called also for the withdrawal of the American troops from Iraq and urged the UN to play a wider role in it, as well as transferring the authority to the Iraqi people.
