After an impressive performance that took them through the stages of the African nations cup, the team coached by Moroccan Baddou Zaki, are set to continue their feat by bringing home the coveted cup to fulfil the dreams of thousands of Moroccans who took to the streets in a burst of joy when the competition entered the quarter-finals stage.

Moroccans thrashed Benin (4-0), tied with South Africa (1-1) and beat Algeria (3-1) in the quarter-finals, before overwhelmingly rolling out Mali in the semi-finals (4-0).

In the first ever Maghreban derby at this championship, host Tunisia will be comforted by its public, while Morocco will count on the impressive play and collective spirit displayed by the team so far.

While Morocco had grabbed in 1976 in Addis Ababa the African nations cup, the Tunisians have never had the honor. The Morocco-Tunisia finals match will be the first Maghreban derby ever in the African Nations Cup history.
