Berlin: A conference on Arab Education

The German ministry of education announced yesterday that Germany and the UN will host a conference in Berlin next week to discuss the issue of boosting education in the Arab states.

Experts of 11 Arab states in addition to officials from the UN development program UNDP and Germany will discuss the possibility of introducing amendments to educational curricula in the Arab states, according to the Arab human development report which had a self- critical look at the status of Arab schools and Arab higher education.

The talks will be held at the German ministry of development building on February 9 and 10th.
