Al-Assad, Sezer discuss joint free Zone area

President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday made a telephone call with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Necdet Sezer. Talks tackled the issues which were discussed during the latest visit of President al-Assad to Turkey and the means to put the agreements between the two countries into effect, particularly the free-zone area.

In January this year, al-Assad made a visit to Turkey which was the first for a Syrian President. During this visit, the two countries announced they intend to increase their trade exchange for three folds.
