Saudi Riyadh: American-Arab council and the image of the Arabs

Chairman of the National Council for the Arab-American Relations John Antony stressed that the American people don't know the reality of the Arabs due to the American media that provides them with a false image about the Arabs.

In a statement to Saudi Riyadh newspaper published Tuesday, Antony underlined that the Arabs are more peaceable than the Americans, asserting that the reason for this negative image about the Arabs is represented in the American Presidential elections nominates' belief that the Arabs are not effective.

He expected that the War on Iraq, the bad conditions of the American army there and the deteriorating economy will badly influence Bush's electoral campaign.

He also pointed out that Bush depends in his electoral campaign on the conservatives who represent the lobby that backs Israel, asserting that this lobby supports Bush because he belongs to them. He asserted that the US supports Israel, considering that there is a special relation between them.
