Egypt information minister underlines EU role in ME peace

Egyptian Information Minister Safwat al-Sharif stressed importance of the European role in pushing the Middle East peace process ahead in cooperation with the US and the influential powers of the international community.

In a statement issued in Cairo yesterday, Sharif stressed that President Hosni Mubarak and his Slovakian counterpart Rudolf Schuster, underlined the necessity of unifying the international efforts, particularly the European ones to achieve just and comprehensive peace in a way that preserves the international security and stability.
