Murderer of US national admits 2001 murder
Killer of US National Georges Waldo, Hamrane Mustapha, 24, arrested Wednesday, gave detailed account of the crime and admitted to the killing of a French national in Agadir, back in 2001.
Hamrane, who had affairs with both victims, robbed them after stabbing them to death, a senior police officer said in a press briefing.
Police found his track after finding that he took 20,000 Dirhams ($US 2,000) from a bank account of Georges Waldo, who he killed on December 08, using a forged identity card. The card's owner told investigators pickpockets had taken his wallet in a Azemmour (near El Jadida) market place. This put policemen on the right track.
Once under arrest, with several belongings of the US citizen in his possession, he avowed in detail the two murders, the officer said.
