Fadlalla deplores Israeli massacres against the Palestinians

Sheikh Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah condemned the "Israeli massacres perpetrated against the Palestinians" in the occupied Palestinian lands.

During Friday prayers sermon, Fadlallah underlined Israel's pretence to search for a settlement and truce with the Palestinians, "while perpetrating brutal massacres in Rafah, Gaza strip and the West Bank."

"Israel foils all peace opportunities through its hostile practices, backed by America, who calls on the Arab countries to destroy their weapons, ignoring the Israeli chemical, nuclear, biological arsenal threatening the world as a whole," he added.

He asserted that the Palestinians have no option other than resistance to gain their rights, and to establish their independent state.

He also called on the Iraqis to boost their national unity, in order to establish an elected national government.
