Mauritania's president in Qatar to enhance cooperation
President of Mauritania Mu'aweya Wild Taye' arrived in Doha yesterday in an official visit for two days, with the aim to strengthen relations and develop them.
During this visit, four agreements will be signed on civil aviation, the exchange and protection of investments between the two states, avoiding double taxation and trade exchange.
This visit comes in reply to the visit made by the Amir of Qatar in June to Nouakchott, after the coupe attempt against president of Mauritania.
During his visit to Nouakchott, the Amir of Qatar considered that his visit aimed at expressing "his country's support to this brotherly country in matters that will violate its security and stability, which are an integral part of security and stability of the Arab world as a whole."
The visit of Wild Taye' came after the announcement of the Mauritania authorities of a second coupe attempt made by former President Muhammad Khouna Weld Hedallah.
The Mauritanian President is accompanied by a large delegation, including the ministers of foreign affairs, the economy, development, industry and mineral, equipment, transport and education.
