Qassam missile wounds two Israelis in Gaza, one Palestinian was killed
Thousands of Palestinians took part in the funeral ceremony of several Palestinians killed during the incursion of the Israeli forces in Rafah which resulted in killing 10 Palestinians, and wounding other 42, including 9 children. Armed and veiled young men belonging to the Islamic resistance movement, Hamas, and the Islamic Jihad took part in the eulogy.
The Palestinian authority denounced the continued Israeli military operation in Rafah camp for the Palestinian refugees.
The Palestinian authority called on the Quartet and the US to move quickly in order to halt the continued Israeli escalations, and find out a mechanism to implement the Roadmap at the supervision of international observers.
The minister of negotiations affairs in the Palestinian government, Saeb Oreikat, said that this Israeli escalation aims at damaging Palestinian, Arab and international efforts exerted to restart the ME peace process.
Meantime, the Hamas movement called on the Palestinian groups, in a statement, to maintain solidarity in order to withstand the Israeli aggression against Rafah camp.
The UN Secretary General Kofi Annan condemned the Israeli raid, and urged the occupation forces to better protect the civilians, and return back to the table of negotiations.
Meanwhile, the Palstinian Eyas Allawenah, 27 year old, died because of his wounds he had on Tuesday by the bullets of the Israeli soldiers, during incursion operation in Jaba town, near Jenin.
In Gaza, two Israelis were wounded when al-Qassan missile was fired at a Jewish settlement. An Israeli military source said that one persons was severely hit in the head because of the explosion which targeted a house in Nisanit settlement to the north of the sector.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation forces imposed curfew in the city of Nablus in the West Bank. The Israeli tanks were deployed in the downtown of the city, and the occupation forces launched tear gas to disperse scores of Palestinians who tries to cross barriers installed by the occupation forces.
News reports in Palestine said that the Israeli security forces were able during recent weeks to detain members of cell for Ezz Eddine al-Qassam in Ramullah area.
Leaked information says that the cell is composed of 22 persons, accused by the Israeli authorities of launching operations, in which ten Israelis were killed, half of them are soldiers, and that they had planned for kidnapping soldiers and bargain for exchanging them for Palestinian prisoners. The Israeli authorities found in the house of one member of the cell the weapons of three soldiers killed in Ein Yabroud to the west of Ramullah.
