Originally published

Egypt's Information Minister, Safwat al-Sherif, has underlined the importance of enhancing the Syrian-Egyptian coordination towards the current regional situations and the standing challenges.

In a statement yesterday in Cairo to SANA, al-Sherif stressed his country's support to Syria's just demands for Israel's full withdrawal from the occupied Golan Heights to the June, 4, 1967 line, in implementation of the international resolutions and "land for peace" formula.

He said that the Higher Joint Syrian-Egyptian Committee scheduled to be held in Damascus next Monday will discuss means of activating bilateral agreements in fields of information, economy, industry, agriculture, and petroleum, in a way that contributes in widening current cooperation, and opening new prospects of cooperation.

Al-Sherif referred to the firm pan-Arab dimension that connects the two states' people, stressing the joint adherence to the pan-Arab causes, and to rejection of the logic of provocation and accusations against the Arab states.
