Al-assad receives Iraqi tribes chief

President Bashar al-Assad received in Damascus on Thursday the Iraqi Tribes' Council Secretary General Raad al-Hamadani and an accompanying delegation on the current situation in Iraq and the efforts exerted to preserve Iraqi's national unity and territorial integrity.

The delegation's members thanked President al-Assad over the support Syria offers to Iraqis, and the efforts exerted on both international and regional levels in order to restore Iraq's sovereignty and independence.
