First international power exhibition And conference to open next week

Oman's news agency ONA said yesterday that "The first-ever GCC Power Exhibition and Conference will open in Muscat on December 8, with the support and attendance of delegations from every GCC power ministry."

"The exhibition will run from December 8-10 at the Oman International Exhibition Centre, under the auspices of GCC Cigre-GCC Regional Committee for High Voltage Electric Systems. The associated conference programme will be held right next-door, in the newly refurbished conference suites of the Seeb Novotel" the report said.Ê

The report said "Important manufacturers are exhibiting from all over the industrial world will participate (and) ..The conference program will focus on regional strategies for meeting power demand, including electricity industry restructuring, gas supply and pricing, regulatory, financial and legal frameworks and the potential benefits of integrated national and regional grids."
