Da Silva visits Umayyad mosque

Brazil's President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and spouce visited yesterday Umayyad Mosque accompanied by Minister of Expatriates Butheina Shaaban.

The Brazilian President received at the Mosque by Minister of Religious Endowments, Mohammed Zeadah. He also toured the mosque and listened to an explanation on the historical stages that the building of the mosque passed through. Later, they visit the Museum of Popular Traditions and were received at the museum by Culture Minister Mahmoud al-Sayed.
