EU official describes Syria's statements on ME peace as positive

High Representative for European Common Foreign and Security Policy Javier Solana on Tuesday described the Syrians statements on the resumption of peace talks as positive.

Solana said in news conference in the Italian southern city of Naples that "we welcome" all that which could open channels of communication and dialogue to advance the peace process in the Middle East. Solana pointed out that Naples meetings are part of that trend.
