Moussa boycotts Euromed meeting
The secretary general of the Arab League Amr Moussa has decided not to take part in the meeting of the EUROMED ( Euro-Mediterranean Partnership) meeting which will be held in Napoli on December 2 and 3 in protest of Italy's stand "which are biased to Israel."
A diplomatic source at the Arab League said that this is the first time in which Mousa decided to boycott such a meeting because of "the stances of the Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi during his Presidency of the European Union as he ( Silvio Berlusconi ) supported the Israeli side at the expense of the Palestinian issue."
The source indicated that Moussa, who received an official invitation to take part in Napoli's meeting, is in particular protesting against Berlusconi's statements especially regarding the "wall of separation " built by Israel.
Moussa assigned the AL secretary for political affairs Ahmad Bin Hali to represent him at Napoli's meetings.
