MPs who switch parties will have to face justice, says minister
The Moroccan government insists that any member of parliament, who uses "illegal means" to change his party for another, will have to face justice, said, in Rabat Thursday, Moroccan minister of communication and spokesman for the government.
At a briefing following the weekly cabinet meeting, Nabil Benabdallah said the government is determined to refer the matter to justice every time the media, for instance reports such cases.
"That's what we have done so far and we must now wait for the results of the prosecutors' investigations," said the minister.
The phenomenon has appeared after last year's general elections, with some MPs changing from a party to another according to their interests, sometimes in exchange of money.
The justice minister, Mohamed Bouzoubaa said, Thursday, that the general prosecutor has already opened investigations on this matter.
