Australian parliamentarian confers with Berri

The Australian Parliamentary Delegation's Chief Sandi Macdonald has ruled out his country's acceptance on the so-called Syria Accountability Act approved by the US Senate indicating that the USA and Australia have different views.

In statements following a meeting with Lebanese Parliament speaker Nabih Berri in Beirut yesterday, Macdonald stressed Australia's efforts to share in realizing a just solution for the Middle East countries. He asserted that Syria is a key factor of stability in the region.
