Australia warns its citizens from traveling to Sudan
The Australian foreign ministry has warned its citizens not to travel to Sudan, under the pretext of possible terrorist attacks against western interests in the capital Khartoum.
In a special statement, the ministry said "we continue to receive information about plans for terrorist attacks against western interests in Sudan." A spokesman for the ministry said that the warning is based on widely credible information. He expressed the ministry's concern over the possibility of targeting places trodden by westerners.
The US embassy suspended activities of its embassy in Khartoum because of what it described as threats against American interests in Khartoum. Worthy mentioning that there is no diplomatic mission for Australia in Sudan.
