Khaddam confers with Iraqi delegation

Vice President Abdulhalim Khaddam received in Damascus on Thursday member of Iraqi Interim Ruling Council Muhsen Abdulhameed and a delegation of the Iraqi Islamic Party. Talks dealt with the situation in Iraq.

Viewpoints were similar on the "necessity for enhancing the Iraqi national unity, Iraqi restoration of its independence and sovereignty by ending the occupation and establishing constitutional institutions," official news says.
