A wave of unrest invaded al-Falouja and Abu Gharib area ( west Baghdad) during which Iraqi citizens clashed with the Iraqi police and the occupation soldiers for hours and this resulted in killing five Iraqis and wounding more than 17, including two Americans at a time when one American soldier was killed and other 4 wounded in a new operation by the Iraqi resistance.

This comes as the Iraqi Muslim scholars society warned against collaborating with the occupation, considering that such acts would be a "retard from religion."

Simultaneously the US defense secretary Donald Rumsfeld announced that the US military leaders are accelerating deployment of Iraqi security forces in challenge of the suicide bombing operations which forced major UN organizations to withdraw its employee from Baghdad. He said he does not expect these problems to be solved within a short time.

While he admitted that the "attackers have elements of superiority," Rumsfeld continued that "therefore, the case is related to overcoming terrorists and terrorist organizations and searching for their families or killing them." He explained that the number of Iraqis in various security forces departments increased to more than 100,000 so far, and this number will exceed the number of the US soldiers in Iraq numbering 130,000.

Meantime, the US New York Times yesterday quoted US officials as saying that the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein might be behind certain attacks against the occupation forces in Iraq.

One of those officials said that " certain reports say that ( Saddam Hussein )provokes part of the resistance." the paper quoted certain officials saying that information indicate that Saddam Hussein's headquarters is in Tikrit and that he may try to unify groups taking part in the operations against occupation. According to ( New York Times) the meetings are held inside cars while moving so as not to be monitored and that Saddam has recently contacted his deputy Ezzat al-Douri about whom news reports said on Thursday that he co-ordinate with Ansar al-Islam and he currently runs the Iraqi resistance operations.

New York Time also indicated that the American administration always depicts Saddam as fleeing and of no effect. It added that recent intelligence information show the urgent need to intensify chasing him.

In a sudden development, the American forces cordoned al-Auja village the birth place of Saddam and surrounded it by wires and started to issue special Ids for its people with the aim to control it.

A spokesman fore the occupation forces said that one American soldier was killed and other 4 wounded yesterday in a bomb explosion in al-Khaledeyah to the west of Baghdad.

American army officers said that one soldier and three Iraqi civilians were killed and two American soldiers wounded 17 Iraqis in clashes between the American forces and the Iraqi police with citizens raising the picture of Saddam Hussein in Abu Gharib market to the west of Baghdad.

One American officer said:" our soldiers were targeted before noon, two bombs were dropped at them and then an explosion took place and resulted in wounding two American soldiers." Immediately the American army searched for the attackers in Souk Abu Gharbi. An eye witness said that " An American tank crashed a car and this resulted in killing an 8- year old child inside it. His father chanted in anger and the people gathered around him and started to throw stones at the soldiers and the Iraqi police and set fire in tires and then opened fire at the Americans." The American soldiers retaliated by opening fire. One nurse in a hospital said that the " American soldiers opened fire randomly at the demonstrators and as a result killed 3 Iraqi civilians and wounded 10 persons." Moreover, Iraqi medical sources said that two Iraqis were killed in a land mine explosion, seemed to have had targeted the American forces, when their car passed by in its way to an area allocated for hunting.

Meantime, Islam scholars society Ð a religious commission includes several Sunni Sheikhs, formed following the fall of Baghdad on April 9th issued a statement urging the Iraqis to avoid contacting the American as possible, considering that religions forbids Muslims dealing with the occupation authorities.

The statement said that Muslim's joining the Iraqi forces is considered acceptable if the objective is to protect the lives and preserve properties of the Iraqis. N.
