Banker gets three-years in jail for embezzlement

A court in Rabat sentenced Monday a former employee in a bank in Khmisset (east of Rabat) to three years for embezzlement.

The defendant appeared in court after the regional director of the bank filed a complaint accusing him of embezzling 330,000 Dhs (US $33,000).

Subsequently, the police has found in the culprit house an important sum of money (Dirhams and foreign currency) as well as checks. He admitted the embezzlement of the money during investigations.
