Libya is persistent to withdraw from the Arab League

Originally published

Libya's Leader of the Revolution Colonel Muammar al Qathafi stressed yesterday following his talks with the Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak that Libya is insistent on pulling out from the Arab League.

Qathafi told journalists that "Libya is insistent to withdraw from the AL and the Arabs are insistent to keep Libya in it.". He explained "in spite of that, Libya would remain in the AL under the condition that the Arab states meet to rescue their situation and deal with what is going on in Iraq and Palestine, studying their security and economic conditions and unify their ranks."
