Bercy Tennis Tournament: Hicham Arazicruises to 3rd round

Moroccan tennis player Hicham Arazi qualified Tuesday for the third round of the 2.45 million Euro Paris-Bercy Tennis tournament after the withdrawal of co-citizen, 12th seeded, Younes El Aynaoui.

"I don't like to give up but my foot has been aching for weeks, and it worsened as I played," El Aynaoui explained to the public, adding that "Hicham is in good shape and it wouldn't be fair to do my best today and withdraw in the next round."

El Aynaoui was exempted from the first round of the tournament while Arazi defeated Henry Mathieu before playing his co-citizen. He will take on Thailand's 8th seed, Paradorn Srichapan.
