United Nations lost its legitimacy

On yesterday's occasion of the United nations' anniversary, the official Libyan news agency said that only resolutions against African and Arab states are enforced, (as opposed to Israel and others).

The report said the UN is controlled by super states (US) and that the UN has lost its legitimacy and needs to have the Security Council powers transferred to the General Assembly where all countries are participants.

The report said "As Libya and most countries of the world are now convinced that the United Nations organisation lost credibility , these countries no longer trust the internatioal organisation, as it applies double standars in dealing with various issues, particularly issues related to Palestinians, Arabs and Africans. Many a resolution issued by the security council go the wrong direction. "
