Saudi Arabia towards membership of the WTO

An official in the World Trade Organization said that Saudi Arabia is proceeding towards joining the WTO in 2004.

Statements of the chairman of the membership negotiations committee in the organization Munir Akram said two days after negotiations in Geneva between the member states in the committee and the Saudi delegation which is led by the Saudi minister of commerce and Industry Hashem Yamani, in addition to Russia and Ukraine.

Saudi Arabia is considered among the largest countries which are still outside the World Trade Organization which currently includes 146 countries, while other 30 states are still outside it.
