Information Technology conference wraps up deliberations in Damascus

The Conference of Information Technology and Facilities of Trade in Arab Region, organized by Syria's Industry Ministry with cooperation with UN Industry development, UNIDO, ended in Damascus on Tuesday its deliberations at Umayyad Conferences Palace.

The deliberations concentrated on issues related to the role of information technology and telecommunications as important devices in facilitating the commercial exchange and promoting the competitive capability and the standard level of products.

The conference indicated to the necessity for identifying the priorities for Arab countries and for adopting national strategies that help activate the commercial exchange between countries.

The conference recommended in its concluding statement adopting a suitable environment for development by settling a strong dialogue and establishing partnership agreements between the government and other sectors.
