Syria - Lebanon to expand energy cooperation

Syria's Prime Minister Naji Otari received in Damascus on Sunday Lebanese Minister of Water and Energy, Ayub Hameed with the attendance of Oil Minister, Ibrahim Haddad and Secretary General of the Syrian-Lebanese Higher Council, Nasri al-Khouri.

Talks during the meeting dealt with the bilateral relations and the importance of developing them in all fields particularly in energy, oil and gas domains.

Talks also dealt with activating the signed agreements through the establishment of joint projects of oil refineries, networks for connecting gas and electricity and means of widening prospects of future cooperation in all fields.
