Arab states' exports to Germany increase by 17.6%

Originally published

Arab states' exports to Germany reached 3.7 billion Euros during the two first quarters of 2003, recording a 17.6 % increase compared to the same period in 2002 when exports were worth 3.2 billion Euros.

In the same period, Arab imports from Germany dropped by 3.67% from 7.3 billion Euros to 7.06 billion Euros, reported "Souq" magazine, a publication of the German-Arab Chamber of Commerce.

The reason behind this increase in Arab states' exports is the rise in fuel prices, Germany's main imported product from Arab states.

Libya, Syria, Algeria and Saudi Arabia are Germany's largest trade partners.
