Large explosion in Ein al-Helweh

Palestinian sources said that an unidentified persons threw a bomb in Ein al-Helweh camp -- the largest Palestinian camps in Lebanon, on early Sunday morning.

No casualties were reported in the explosion which took place near the house of one of the leading figures of the Fatah movement which belongs to the Palestinian President Ysser Arafat. The explosion, however, resulted in slight material losses but increased the volume of tension in the camp which had also witnessed a series of armed clashes and minor explosions.

This incident is considered the first since August when a similar explosion hit a trade center at the camp which is controlled by Islamists activists.
