Egyptian subsidies to essential commodities

Egyptian officials said that a sum of L.E. 1.6 billion has been assigned for subsidizing essential commodities such as bread, sugar, rice, bean, lentils, food oil and tea.

He said that subsidy would be maintained for commodities, which are distributed by ration cards, adding studies would be made on improving wheat and essential commodities from India and Kazakhstan.
