Libyan - Italian naval cooperation

Member of the Libyan revolutionary council Lt. Gen. Al-Khweildi al-Hamidi has discussed with chief of staff of the Italian naval forces Marssilio Dillo relations between the Italian and Libyan naval forces and means of enhancing bilateral cooperation in the service of peace in the Mediterranean.

The Libyan radio said yesterday that discussions dealt with means of strengthening cooperation between the two banks of the Mediterranean for security and stability in the Mediterranean basin. The Italian official arrived in Tripoli on Tuesday.
