Al-Qaddoumi receives the credentials of the Chinese ambassador

Originally published

The Palestinian News agency Wafa said that the Political Department Chairman of Palestinian Liberation Organization Farouk al-Qaddoumi received at the headquarters of the department yesterday a copy of the credentials of Lio Yuji as a commissioned ambassador for the people's republic of China to the state of Palestine.

The agency said that the new Chinese ambassadors renewed as he handed over a copy of his credentials to al-Qaddoumi, his country's position in support the Palestinian people and their just cause in order to win all their national rights, especially the right to establish the independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as a capital.

This is, however, the first time in which such a step is declared, especially as the headquarters of the Chinese ambassador is in the Palestinian territories. It seemed that announcing this step falls in the course of settling the difference that emerged recently on the Palestinian foreign representation between al-Qaddoumi and the foreign affairs minister in the resigned government of Mahmoud Abbas; Nabil Shaath.
